Minky Couture Layton

We purchased a Minky blanket for our newlywed son and wife. They are not at their 2 year anniversary yet and the stitching has been coming out for over a year. When I called to see about a warranty replacement due to the defect in materials or craftsmanship I was informed there is no warranty. We have a couple of these and like the feel of them. Due to this experience we will not be gifting these again.

Why do they even have these stores? I might as well just order online. I went in to look at the blankets I saw online to get a present for my dad, who has been hospitalized since the beginning of August. There were 4 girls standing around the counter talking in an empty store, and not one of them offered to help me. The prices aren't easily visible and I needed to make some comparisons and had some questions about discounts. I stood by the group of them for at least 3 minutes trying to get their attention to get their help. When I did get one of then away from their ice cream social she basically just waved down the columns of how things were divided up, didn't really acknowledge my personal circumstances, told me it was just a "personal preference" what people liked in hospitals, and told me all the blankets were different prices. So yeah- I didn't buy anything. They are nice blankets, and I love to support women owned businesses but not at the expense of good customer service. 2 stars for the product and the store layout for Christmas.

Regrettably, I must rate this Minky store with one out of five stars. We were gifted three pillowcases, but unfortunately, two out of the three started to come apart at the seam. I visited the store hoping they could either repair it or provide a replacement with the same or a similar item if the original print was unavailable. However, the manager suggested I find a seamstress to fix it for a small cost, stating they had a 30-day warranty and that such issues were common with their pillowcases. Disappointed, I inquired about exchanging a Minky blanket I’d purchased during the summer, finding it lacking in quality compared to others I’d encountered. My friend, agreeing that mine seemed inferior, suggested mine might be a lemon after comparing it to hers. Despite this, the manager insisted this was standard for their blankets and declined any exchange. Leaving with torn pillowcases and a subpar blanket, I expected better confidence in the product’s quality, especially from a reputed brand like Minky.

Sadly, I'm very disappointed in my hug blanket. I have had it since Christmas and have taken very good care of it. However, I have strings starting to come out of it. I called, and they will only offer me 60% off another blanket when I can get better than that on one of their sales. I'm super sad about my beautiful blanket and hoped there would be better customer service.
